For Better or Verse Poem

Posted By: Sara
Filed under the category : Personal stuff

Our very talented friend Helen from For Better or Verse wrote this lovely verse about us:

Through my discreet lens I see family. Friends.

Capturing in motion. Powerful emotion.

The impromptu twirl of your flower girl.

The whooping of guests. The gasps at your dress.

Blue skies. Shining eyes.

Well wishes. Hugs and kisses.

A secret smile. Shared at the aisle.

A blissful bride. Glowing pride.

A lingering glance. Applause. First dance.

The swish of your train. Bubbling champagne.

Love. Laughter. Your happy ever after.

Your soundtrack to life. Husband and wife.

Memories made. On film won’t fade.

Atmosphere. Relive it here…

Try Helen’s bespoke special occasion poetry perfect for speeches, gifts or favours.  Eloquent, heartfelt, sincere speeches with a dose of humour!

Our Photo Shoot with Chris Hanley Photography

Posted By: Sara
Filed under the category : Personal stuff

If we have a choice, we would definitely prefer to be and are most comfortable behind the lens, but there came a time for us to update the images on our website. So we put ourselves in the hands of our good friend and incredibly talented photographer Chris Hanley.

To say I was nervous was an understatement, like most people I am not comfortable with the way I look, not in a vain way, but I don’t like having my picture taken. Tony approached the shoot like everything in his life, with a cool composure. Not that he thinks he looks gorgeous (obviously he does in my eyes) he is quite shy, but he just doesn’t get stressed about the little things. As we had already filmed a behind the scenes promo for Chris & Claire, I knew that they would make us feel completely relaxed and that it would be a fun day, also you can’t help but laugh in their company. Click here to see their film.

I knew that the photos would be stunning, but I was still apprehensive. I needn’t have been, they are so perfect, I actually cried the first time I saw them. We think they captured us exactly as we are, the quirky urban business side to us and romantic married couple who are very much in love too. We have never really been a couple to have photos of us on our walls, but we now proudly have one in our office and one in our bedroom too! We are already using some of them on our website and the blog, but here are a few of our favourites. To see Chris’ blog on the shoot click here.

Welcome to the very first Marry Me Films Love Heart blog post!

We have so much going on that does not fit into the format of our Facebook page and can’t be expressed in just 140 characters on our Twitter page, that we have created a blog to keep you up to date with what is going on ‘behind the scenes’ at Marry Me Films. We hope you like it; please let us know if there are any bugs that need fixing.

Over the coming weeks we will be posting features about what we have been up to this year. We will be featuring various highlight trailers, magazines appearances, wedding blogs appearances, work that we have done for other companies and what we have coming up over the next few months. From the blog hopefully you will get to know more about me and Tony and what Marry Me Films is all about.

We love what we do and we are so lucky to have a ‘job’ that we get so much pleasure and satisfaction from. We are immensely proud of what we do and the wedding films that we create. We would love to hear your comments, so don’t be shy and please let us know if there is anything you would like to know or have us feature in future posts.

Bye for now and see you soon.
Sara & Tony
