Au revoir 2017, bonjour 2018!!!

Seriously where did 2017 go? I guess that’s what happens when you are having fun!

We started the year on the 2nd January with Louise & Stephen’s beautiful wedding at Peckforton Castle. It was a pleasure to be back at lots of our favourite venues in 2017, but we also filmed weddings at lots of venues new to us too, including; The BelsfieldThe FallsSilverholme ManorCombermere Abbey and Tyn Dwr Hall and we ended the year at another new venue to us; The Titanic Rum Warehouse in Liverpool for Lydia & Daniel’s stunning 1920′s inspired wedding.

Once again we are very fortunate to already be nearly fully booked for 2018, have several dates booked for 2019 and even one date booked for 2020 too. With fab weddings booked in at our most popular venues like Peckforton CastleColshaw HallKnowsley Hall and Nunsmere Hall, but we are looking forward to filming at new venues for us in 2018, including; Rivington Barn, Delamere Manor, The Inn on the Lake and The Wild Boar. We have been so lucky to film so many amazing weddings in the past 12 months, some that stand out are the wedding of Jojo & Nick, at Nicks ancestral home Capesthorne Hall, Roxanne & Luke‘s Disney Princess themed wedding at The Falls, Nikki & Bill‘s ski themed wedding at their home The Willows, Shannon & Natalie‘s Ibiza party style wedding at Peckforton Castle, Lynsey & Danny‘s tipi wedding that very nearly happened due to terrible weather and last but not least, our biggest wedding of the year; Cara & Ben‘s incredible marquee wedding in the grounds of their fabulous home Croes Howell Hall.

This year we did several creative shoots with the brilliant; Little White BooksRed Floral Architecture, Eleventh Heaven by Ann McKavney, Flossy & Leigh Makeup Artist Company, Suzanne Thorp at The FrosteryKnutsford Bridal GalleryAngel Couture by Kay HeeleyWhitehouse Event Crockery, iCatching Events, Jeff Langhorne Photography and Teresa C Photography at Ashfield HouseStanley House Hotel & Spa and Merrydale Manor. This bunch of immensely talented wedding suppliers, who are not only our colleagues, but now our friends too, are already planning new creative shoots for the coming months, which I’m sure will be even bigger and better than before.

Last year we also introduced our new deluxe Jorgensen Albums USB stick presentation cases, which have been a big hit with our couples. We are always looking at ways to improve and invest in kit. We have recently purchased a drone and Tony is currently working towards gaining his drone pilot licence and we will be fully insured and ready to bring a new dimension to our wedding films.

Our Deluxe Jorgensen Albums USB Stick Presentation Cases

Posted By: Sara
Filed under the category : News

When we first started Marry Me Films we searched high and low to find a beautiful presentation case to display our DVDs and Blu-rays. After a lot of careful research we found the gorgeous deluxe Queensberry Albums in New Zealand. Now that technology has moved on we want to offer a just as stunning presentation case for our branded USB sticks. Yet again we found what we were looking for on the other side of the world, this time in Australia.

Deluxe Jorgensen Albums USB Stick Presentation Cases

Jorgensen Albums have been designing, crafting and creating bespoke albums for more than 30 years. They firmly believe the beauty is in the detail. The Jorgensen name has grown to be one which is synonymous with beautifully appointed and prestigious photographic albums.

Yesterday I attended the The Little White Books Great Northern Wedding Awards 2017/18 ceremony for the Top Finalist at Mitton Hall, accompanied by the lovely Simon from Red Floral Architecture while Tony was back in the office editing! We sadly didn’t win but we were highly commended. We were very pleased that Red Floral Architecture quite rightly won their category. Sx

Hello 2017, but first a quick look back at 2016!

Posted By: Sara
Filed under the category : News

I say the same thing every year, but where has the time gone, 2016 literally flew by even quicker than ever before!

2016 started with Natalie & Sean’s wedding at The West Tower which was extra special for us, as not only was it our first wedding of 2016, but it was our 200th Marry Me Films wedding too. It was a pleasure to be back at lots of our favourite venues in 2016, but we also filmed weddings at lots of venues new to us too; Llyndir Hall, Hope Street Hotel, Chateau Rhianfa, Styal Lodge, Denton Hall and Keele Hall. We ended 2016 with a first for us, the same sex marriages of Sarah & Sarah at Knowsley Hall and Joanne & Fiona at Peckforton Castle, within the same week as each other in November and we won the The English Wedding Awards 2016 North West Videographer of the Year!

We are very fortunate to already be nearly fully booked for 2017, with fab weddings booked in at our most popular venues like Peckforton Castle, Knowsley Hall and Eaves Hall, but we are looking forward to filming at new venues for us in 2017; The Belsfield, Trafford Hall, The Falls, Silverholme Manor, Combermere Abbey and Tyn Dwr Hall.

Yet again to keep our creative juices following we did several creative shoots with the brilliant; Red Floral Architecture, Eleventh Heaven by Ann McKavney, Flossy & Leigh Makeup Artist Company, Suzanne Thorp at The Frostery, Typical Type, Knutsford Bridal Gallery, Whitehouse Event Crockery, iCatching Events, Pink Frosting Cake Company, Richard Smith Bespoke, Jeff Langhorne Photography and Teresa C Photography. We already have two creative shoots booked in for the coming months. We love doing them and never know from shoot to shoot what these guys will come up with, each time we think it can’t possibly get any better, but every time they never fail to be even more impressive than the last.

We have also had the pleasure of creating little promo films for Tyn Dwr Hall, Styal Lodge, Dorfold Hall, Owen House Wedding Barn, Combermere Abbey, and Knutsford Bridal Gallery.

So once again a massive thank you to all our couples and all the marvellous wedding suppliers and wedding venues we have had the pleasure of working with, for making 2016 another incredible year. We really hope you have enjoyed watching our wedding film highlights trailers over the past 12 months and we can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store for Marry Me Films!

That was 2015!

Where has the time gone, 2015 literally flew by!

We are very fortunate to already be nearly fully booked for 2016; as Tony also films freelance for the BBC and other production companies during the week, to keep our standards high we only take a limited number of weddings per year and we now only have 3 places left for 2016.

Unusually 2015 was the first year that we had at least one wedding in each month. We kicked the season off with Steph & Nick’s very extravagant marquee wedding in January in the snow at Capesthorne Hall and finished in December with Denver & Pete’s spectacular winter wonderland wedding by Red Floral Architecture at Peckforton Castle. Sadly on the whole the weather wasn’t great in 2015, but everyone made the best of it and we got some incredible atmospheric footage with bruised skies and surprisingly some beautiful sunsets. There have been a couple of other first for us in 2015 too, we have done two live link entrances and two same day edits. Check out Steph & Nick’s live link entrance highlights trailer and Nicola & Chris’ SDE film and Julie & Mike’s SDE film.

Yet again to keep our creative juices following we did several creative shoots with the brilliant; Red Floral ArchitectureEleventh Heaven by Ann McKavneyFlossy & Leigh Makeup Artist CompanySuzanne Thorp at The FrosteryCookie CoutureTypical TypeHarry Jon Hair & Makeup ArtistFairytale Brides, Knutsford Bridal GalleryWhitehouse Event CrockeryJeff Langhorne PhotographyTeresa C Photography and Sansom Photography. Always so much fun and I’m sure we will do doing some more crazy shoots in 2016 too.

So once again a massive thank you to all our couples and all the marvelous wedding suppliers and wedding venues we have had the pleasure of working with, for making 2015 another incredible year. We really hope you have enjoyed watching our wedding film highlights trailers over the past 12 months and we can’t wait to see what 2016 has in store for Marry Me Films!
