The Wedding Film of Emily & Matthew

What I loved most about Emily & Matthew’s wedding was their approach to the wedding day and how they had sourced and made all the decorations, there where so many special little touches. One of the cutest was the chalk board at the entrance to the marquee which was a timeline of ‘Our Love Story’ detailing how they met and the significant dates on their journey to the wedding day! All their family pitched in; the fabulous ‘back garden’ setting was at Emily’s Uncle’s gorgeous house and Emily’s mum made not one but two wedding cakes and all the cupcakes, cakepops, biscuits and cookies that were the wedding favours too. It was a real intimate celebration all about gourmet food  and family and one of the coolest bits was the traditional Italian stone oven which was used to make the evening supper of pizza, served in little take away pizza boxes.

We really hope you enjoy Emily & Matthew’s wedding film highlights trailer.

The Wedding Film of Joanne & Ritchie at Stanley House Hotel & Spa

We were really looking forward to filming Joanne & Ritchie’s elegant black and white colour scheme wedding at Stanley House Hotel & Spa because we had previously filmed Joanne’s brother’s wedding to Claire a couple of years ago. They are such a lovely family and are very close to each other. I have so many favourite moments of the day, but one that stands out was when Joanne’s dad saw in her in her dress for the first time and there were tears all round and you can see Jo’s mum crying in the doorway in the background, also when Paul walked her down the aisle before Jo arrives, it makes me cry every time! Ritchie was extremely nervous as he waited, but to be fair Jo did make him wait half an hour, but the look when they first see each other is priceless. They laughed and cried all the way through the ceremony and the speeches too. It was such a beautiful day, very emotional and lots of fun and it was also great to work with Gillian Devine Photography for the first time, we had a real giggle.

We really hope you enjoy Joanne & Ritchie’s wedding film highlights trailer at Stanley House Hotel & Spa.

The Wedding Film of Kat & Ric at Hilltop Country House

We were introduced to Kat & Ric by Janice; the fabulous wedding planner of Wonderful Weddings by JT. Working closely with the couple beforehand, Janice helped them plan every aspect of their wedding and on the day expertly and discreetly made sure everything ran smoothly. Originally Kat & Ric wanted a very small intimate wedding, well it grew in size, but they still managed to keep the intimacy of the day and did things their way. It was also great to be working alongside the delightful Lisa Aldersley Photography again; she has an effortless, relaxed romantic style.

Kat got ready in the White Room at the Hilltop Country House, a picturesque family run venue in the middle of the Cheshire countryside. It was lovely to be greeted by Clare & Martin when we arrived who took us on a little tour and made us feel right at home. Kat had two little flowers girls and a page boy, so she got ready with her mum and soon to be mother-in-law. Sam Caird of Belles & Beaus styled their hair and makeup. Kat’s intricate lace dress was by Maggie Sottero from bridal boutique Sense & Sensibility in Stockport and she wore a delectable pair of sparkly Jimmy Choo peep toe heels. Ric wore a dashing Paul Smith blue suit and to match the theme; a pink striped tie and he even had pink striped socks.

At some weddings the father of the bride is kept away until the very last minute, but I loved how Kat’s dad was there all the time Kat got ready and even laced up the back of her dress and put her veil on. In another special touch, Kat’s mum had commissioned a little keepsake of a message in a tiny bottle on a blue ribbon with a note from her parents. The day was all about family and Ric’s wedding ring was made from his Grandma’s wedding ring and Kat wore Ric’s family jewellery which had been passed down to her too.

The pink colour scheme was inspired by the fabulous French gourmet sweet makers Ladurée, who make world famous macarons. Everywhere was decorated with Ladurée ribbon, boxes, chocolate, sweets and macarons. The pink roses, peonies and other vintage country style flowers from Zuzu’s Petals looked beautiful and perfectly fitted the feel and theme of the wedding. I wish we had smellovision as the scent from the flowers and the rose and peonies candles which were lit in every room smelt utterly divine.

It was so lovely to be able to have the ceremony outside overlooking the gardens. Leos Strings played as Kat walked down the aisle. As soon as they saw each other they were all smiles and held onto each other so tightly. The way Ric looked at Kat all day with such affection was heart melting and sweet, they only had eyes for each other which really comes across in their footage.

After the ceremony guests were served Pimms with cute vintage pink striped straws on the terrace. There were giant board games, boules and croquet on the lawn to entertain the guests as well as Leos Strings. The wedding breakfast was in the Marquee which had been charmingly decorated with bunting, numerous candles and masses of flowers in the Ladurée theme. As Kat & Ric walked in they were showered with real dried petal confetti.

Kat’s dad and Ric’s brother spoke and toasted the happy couple with, of course, pink champagne or pink lemonade. Kat & Ric then cut the spectacular Patisserie Valerie Gâteaux de mariage wedding cake. It was such a lovely evening that Lisa took the couple to get a few gorgeous dusky shots. It was then time for the first dance to Take That’s Greatest Day. It was a really relaxed atmosphere and the guests chatted away or danced. We really hope you enjoy Kat & Ric’s wedding film highlights trailer at the Hilltop Country House.
