We are very fortune to have filmed a great deal of weddings at the magnificent Peckforton Castle over the years, with 2012 being our most prolific yet. The impressive façade has that magical wow factor when you walk through the moat house archway and it looks fabulous throughout the year. There are so many options and rooms when it comes to weddings, from the Great Hall, Hexagonal Room, Drawing Room, the Wine Cellar to the Long Gallery; we never get tired of filming there.

We are really looking forward to all the coming weddings we already have booked in and we will also be exhibiting in the Hexagonal Room at the Castle’s wedding fair on Sunday 27th January between 10am and 4pm. We hope to see you there. To see individual wedding film highlights trailers that we have filmed at the Castle; please visit our main Marry Me Films website or check out our Marry Me Films Vimeo page.

We have some fantastic weddings booked in for 2013, to keep up with our latest news you can follow us on our Marry Me Films Facebook page and Marry Me Films Twitter page. Also check out our updated Marry Me Films website.

2013 Highlights Montage

It is such a lovely and rewarding task to look back at all the wedding footage we have filmed over the last year, but it is also an impossible mission trying to decide what to include in our new highlights montage for the coming year. Especially when we already have so many amazing clips from the last five years that we don’t want to lose already in there. We have so many gorgeous shots that the montage could be hours long, but I suppose we should just be thankful that we have an abundant source of fabulous footage. A big thank you to all our brides & grooms without whom we would have nothing!

The Wedding Film of Lisa & Peter at Peckforton Castle

We are so pleased to be able to share Lisa & Peter’s wedding at Peckforton Castle. They are both in show business and it was an amazing and very dramatic day! It was a pleasure to be working alongside our favourite toastmaster again; Ken Hollett and to meet and shoot with Andrew Billington Photography for the first time.

Lisa & Peter have been together a long time after meeting in the theatre and they put so much time, effort and planning into creating their perfect wedding day. Especially Lisa, who in the down time in between acting jobs made all the fabulous bird cage table decorations, the love hearts on the back of the chairs, the detailed programmes, the order of service fans, the favours and all the other stationery, basically everything except the cake and flower arrangements. The colour theme for the day was dusky pink and white doves. She is an amazingly creative and talented lady.

Lisa, her mum and bridesmaids all got ready together in the Clotton Suite. Lisa looked beautifully elegant and understated with a pale pink sash and peal head piece, which contrasted with her shiny dark drown bob. On the bottom of Lisa’s shoes were the words ‘I Do’ in blue Swarovski crystals. Once Lisa was ready she had arranged with us to film a Bob Dylan style sign board message sequence as a surprise for Peter when he watched the film back.

The ceremony in the Great Hall was very emotional with both of them in tears. They managed to get through their personal vows and high fived each other at the end. Lisa’s nephews read a very funny poem they had written especially for the wedding. Mango the owl delivered the wedding rings to the bird phobic best man. To mark the end ceremony Lisa & peter released white doves in the glorious sun shine. The drinks reception was at the coach house.

The wedding breakfast was in the Hexagonal room, which looked wonderful with all Lisa’s birdcage decorations. The speeches were the funniest and longest we have ever filmed at one hour and three quarters. Lisa & Peter then cut their stunning birdcage cake with doves on.

The evening reception was back in the Great Hall which once again had been transformed by Hipswing Entertainments. The first dance was spectacular; Lisa & Peter started dancing and were then joined by three ballerinas who danced around them under the spotlight. The guests were then treated to a Michael Bublé tribute act by Kai McKenzie. In another surprise for Peter, Lisa had called on her show business friends who performed a cabaret show, with singers and dancers, topped off with Lisa singing a lovely rendition of Bridge Over Troubled Water, that sent shivers down my spine. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place!

Here are a few stills taken from Lisa & Peter’s wedding film.

The year that was 2012

What a year 2012 has been, I can’t believe how quickly it has flown by. It has been another amazing year and just that little bit extra special as it was also Marry Me Films 5th anniversary.

We have had the privilege and pleasure of being part of so many wonderful weddings. Every wedding we have filmed has been unique and extraordinary in its own way. We have travelled all over the country filming at spectacular new venues to us; like Waddeson Manor and Knowsley Hall and old favourites like the Hillbark and Arley Hall and of course our most visited venue; the magnificent Peckforton Castle. There have been stunning dresses from Caroline Castigliano, Terry Fox, Suzanne Neville, Sassi Holford, Ian Stuart, Vera Wang and Pronovias and so many pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes. It never fails to amaze me how individual and creative each couple is, just when you think you have seen it all they do something different and surprise us. I am genuinely really excited to hear all about our brides & grooms plans at their pre-wedding planning meeting and then to see how it has all come together on the wedding day. It is such a cliché, but I really believe we have one of the best jobs in the world.

So a massive thank you to all our brides & grooms and all the other fabulous wedding suppliers we have had the pleasure of working with, for making 2012 our best ever year yet.

We really hope you have enjoyed watching our wedding film highlights trailers over the past 12 months and we can’t wait to see what 2013 has in store for Marry Me Films!
