Goodbye 2013, hello 2014!

It doesn’t seem like 5 minutes since I was last writing our review of 2012, where does the time go! It has been another amazing year and we are very fortunate to already be nearly fully booked for 2014.

Our wedding season started early with the wedding of Tony’s good friend and broadcast colleague; James’ wedding to Katherine at The Belle Epoque in January and ended last Saturday with Alex & Tom’s Christmas Peckforton Castle wedding. This year we also filmed quite a few weddings of relatives of our previous brides & grooms, which is always so lovely. We had our first Jewish wedding of Tracey & David at The Mere, which was very interesting and nerve racking at the same time. There was the unbelievably emotional Carden Park wedding of Jen & Nick where Tony secretly filmed their visit to see Jen’s dad in hospital. Every wedding we have filmed has been unique, special and extraordinary in its own way and we have loved every one for different reasons.

Highlights of the year include working alongside consummate professionals and talented individuals such as wedding planner Janice of Wonderful Weddings by JT, Chris Hanley Photography, Red Floral Architecture and Lesley & Shaun Meredith Photography to name but a few. We were also honoured this year to be asked to join The Wedding Queens, a remarkable group of likeminded wedding suppliers, committed to providing the very highest standard in wedding services.

So a massive thank you to all our brides & grooms and all the other fabulous wedding suppliers we have had the pleasure of working with, for making 2013 another incredible year.

We really hope you have enjoyed watching our wedding film highlights trailers over the past 12 months and we can’t wait to see what 2014 has in store for Marry Me Films!

The Wedding Film of Laura & John at Thornton Manor

The golden light at autumn weddings makes it one of my favourite times of the year to shoot and we were blessed with such wonderful weather for Laura & John’s beautiful Thornton Manor wedding. My favourite part of the day was John’s crazy high kicks, which he had warned us about beforehand and  their first dance which was them just having fun to an upbeat old 80’s song I hadn’t heard before, but now love; Stephanie Mills – Never Knew Love Like This Before.

It was lovely once again to shoot alongside the fabulous Zoe and Joel from Zoe Photography.

We really hope you enjoy Laura & John’s wedding film highlights trailer at Thornton Manor.

The Wedding Film of Lyndsey & Lee at Peckforton Castle

Lyndsey & Lee have been planning their big day for a long time and booked us over two years ago to film their dream fairy-tale wedding at Peckforton Castle, where Lee also proposed. They were both so excited about their wedding, every time we spoke to Lyndsey she knew exactly how many days it was to the day. To make it a day no one would ever forget they had lots going on including a harpist, falconry display, magician, casino, singer and a fire juggler. My favourite part of their wedding was the looks they gave each other during the ceremony and blessing, which were so full of meaning and love. They made my heart melt!

It was great as always to shoot alongside Chris Hanley Photography. To see Chris’ stunning images from the day check out his blog. It was also a pleasure to capture the amazing talents of fellow Wedding Queens; Red Floral Architecture and Flossy & Leigh Make Up Artist Company.

We really hope you enjoy Lyndsey & Lee’s wedding film highlights trailer at Peckforton Castle.

  1. Where do we even try and start…. Well here goes having first met Tony & Sara way back in January 2012, we’d already taken the time time to research and view some of the trailers ….. in fact probably all there trailers we knew from our first meeting with them we’d made the right choice and we wanted them to capture our day the work they create is utterly timeless and they truly are a lovely couple speaking so passionately about there work you can see they strive for perfection each and every time with nothing ever being to much trouble, having had the chance to see them in action we can honestly say they deliver, our finished Film is out of this WORLD. We’d planned our day down to the tiniest detail with so many personal touches all of which have been captured in fantastic detail and even managing to capture moments that would have been otherwise lost. Having watched both our trailer and feature film numerous times now we’ve seen moments we’d completely forgotten had even happened or weren’t there to see at all and we still keep finding new things. Watching our DVD brings back so many memories and emotions from our day Tony & Sara were an absolute pleasure to have be a part of what is one of the most personal and intimate days of our lives with the pleasure being all ours from the moment we booked to the day of our wedding and beyond they have been a constant source of advice and there attention to detail ensures the finished Product is guaranteed to blow you away from our friends to our family nobody can speak highly enough of them both as professionals and as the lovely couple they are who made our day one that will live on forever for anyone considering capturing your special day on film we’d have no hesitation at all in recommending Marry Me Films……… in fact we wouldn’t have anybody else to us they are an ABSOLUTE MUST all our love Lyndsey & Lee Thank you for our memories we’ll cherish them forever Xxxxxx

Finally Mr & Mrs Evans X

  2. WOW, thank you both so much, we are speechless! It was a pleasure filming your wedding and thanks again for trusting us to be part of your amazing day. You are a fantastic couple and we wish you both nothing but happiness for the future. Sx

The Wedding Film of Emilie & Kelvin at Rowton Hall

Posted By: Sara
Filed under the category : Highlights Trailers

The one word I would use to describe Emilie & Kelvin’s day would be fun! They both didn’t stop laughing, joking and kidding around all day, and were up for anything, which was reflected in the unusual and hilarious photos they had taken; like pretending to be run over by the Vintage double decker bus and even ones of them working out in the gym. Emilie & Kelvin or Kemilie as they are known to their friends love to party and so they had an alcoholic cupcake cake and a Glacial Art Vodka luge, which was in constant use all night. I think my favourite part of the day other than the general frivolity was when all the hens took to the dance floor and did a choreographed routine to ‘Sexy and I Know It’ by LMFAO.

We really hope you enjoy Emilie & Kelvin’s wedding film highlights trailer at Rowton Hall.

The day was expertly organised by the fantastic Janice Tasho of Wonderful Weddings by JT and it was great once again to be shooting alongside the incredible Chris Hanley Photography. The Wedding Film of Queenie & James at Capesthorne Hall

Posted By: Sara
Filed under the category : Highlights Trailers

Queenie & James’ wedding day was epic; rather than have the traditional celebrations spread over two days, they condensed it all into one day, with 1 civil ceremony, 2 Chinese Tea Ceremonies , 3 dresses,  4 venues and a 13 course banquet for good measure! The day started very early with Queenie getting ready and dressed in an exquisite traditional Chinese embroidered dress, then James arrived and wasn’t granted access by the bridesmaids until he had been suitable embarrassed with silly games and had bestowed them with gifts. The first of the tea ceremonies then took place with Queenie’s family and then it was on to James’ parent’s house for the second tea ceremony. It was a short drive to the resplendent Capesthorne Hall where Queenie got changed into her stunning Pronovias dress for the civil ceremony. After some amazing photos in the grounds we went onto the Glamorous Chinese Restaurant in Manchester for fire crackers and Queenie changed once more for the banquet. It was a fabulous day and really interesting to see all the different elements and customs of a Chinese wedding. My favourite part was when Queenie’s sister did a reading during the service; she could hardly talk for laughing and crying and had everyone in tears.

We really hope you enjoy Queenie & James’ wedding film highlights trailer at Capesthorne Hall.

The Wedding Film of Charlotte & Paul at Peckforton Castle

Posted By: Sara
Filed under the category : Highlights Trailers

We adore filming the fabulous creations of our fellow Wedding Queens; Red Floral Architecture and Eleventh Heaven by Ann McKavney, especially at the magically location of Peckforton Castle. The drawing room looked magnificent with pale grey linen, white roses, crystal chandeliers and masses of candles by Mat and his team.  Ann had designed an enchanting headpiece which wrapped around Charlotte’s sophisticated bun. They also combined their talents to produce Charlotte’s glorious bejewelled bouquet. Charlotte had not one but two stunning dresses which was kept secret from everyone. The first a beautiful billowing Ronald Joyce dress and the second was a slinky Benjamin Roberts fitted lace dress which she changed into before the first dance. We got some great footage in the wine cellar which is just one of the reasons we love shooting alongside our good friends Chris & Claire from Chris Hanley Photography.

We really hope you enjoy Charlotte & Paul’s wedding film highlights trailer at Peckforton Castle.

The Wedding Film of Amanda & Michael at The Upper House

Posted By: Sara
Filed under the category : Highlights Trailers

Amanda & Michael are childhood sweethearts and have been together since they met when a band Michael played drums in were booked to play their first and only paid gig at Amanda’s sister’s 18th birthday party on New Year’s Eve 2001. The entire day was meticulously planned, with Amanda’s mum making the amazing cake and all the matching chair bows and table runners. Amanda & Michael produced all the stationery and the entire day had a lovely country wedding theme which perfectly suited The Upper House and its wonderful setting overlooking the countryside. My favourite part of the day was their personal vows, which were so heart felt and sweet. I also love the bit were Michael had to compose himself before he could continue.
