For Better or Verse Poem

Our very talented friend Helen from For Better or Verse wrote this lovely verse about us:

Through my discreet lens I see family. Friends.

Capturing in motion. Powerful emotion.

The impromptu twirl of your flower girl.

The whooping of guests. The gasps at your dress.

Blue skies. Shining eyes.

Well wishes. Hugs and kisses.

A secret smile. Shared at the aisle.

A blissful bride. Glowing pride.

A lingering glance. Applause. First dance.

The swish of your train. Bubbling champagne.

Love. Laughter. Your happy ever after.

Your soundtrack to life. Husband and wife.

Memories made. On film won’t fade.

Atmosphere. Relive it here…

Try Helen’s bespoke special occasion poetry perfect for speeches, gifts or favours.  Eloquent, heartfelt, sincere speeches with a dose of humour!

The beautiful Helen from Bespoken Dreams Wedding Design & Consultancy asked us to film her launch night in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care at the Neighbourhood Café, an elegant family run restaurant in Childwall, Liverpool. It was a great night, with a lot of money raised for a very worthy cause close to our hearts.

Our Photo Shoot with Chris Hanley Photography

Posted By: Sara
Filed under the category : Personal stuff

If we have a choice, we would definitely prefer to be and are most comfortable behind the lens, but there came a time for us to update the images on our website. So we put ourselves in the hands of our good friend and incredibly talented photographer Chris Hanley.

To say I was nervous was an understatement, like most people I am not comfortable with the way I look, not in a vain way, but I don’t like having my picture taken. Tony approached the shoot like everything in his life, with a cool composure. Not that he thinks he looks gorgeous (obviously he does in my eyes) he is quite shy, but he just doesn’t get stressed about the little things. As we had already filmed a behind the scenes promo for Chris & Claire, I knew that they would make us feel completely relaxed and that it would be a fun day, also you can’t help but laugh in their company. Click here to see their film.

I knew that the photos would be stunning, but I was still apprehensive. I needn’t have been, they are so perfect, I actually cried the first time I saw them. We think they captured us exactly as we are, the quirky urban business side to us and romantic married couple who are very much in love too. We have never really been a couple to have photos of us on our walls, but we now proudly have one in our office and one in our bedroom too! We are already using some of them on our website and the blog, but here are a few of our favourites. To see Chris’ blog on the shoot click here.

Chris Hanley Photography Shoot

Posted By: Sara
Filed under the category : Films for our friends

We first had the pleasure of working with husband and wife team Chris & Claire from Chris Hanley Photography at Yvonne & Craig’s wedding at Crewe Hall in the summer of 2009. We instantly got on and have since become very good friends and have worked together many times since. Chris is an incredibly talented photographer and we love his vision and sense of style. Don’t just believe me, have a look at his work on his website.

When Chris & Claire asked us to create a promo film for them, I was very nervous because if you know Chris & Claire they have very high standards and know exactly what they want and aren’t afraid to tell you, especially about something as important as their image and business. Tony was really up for the challenge and was very excited about being able to have full creative control and do something a bit different. Chris & Claire gave us a brief of what they wanted the film to convey and a piece of music which they loved, but left everything else up to Tony.

We decided the best and most natural method to capture the way in which they work would be to film an actual e-shoot. Geraldine and Rich are a really lovely couple; Rich was especially excited when he found out that Tony films the BBC 1 programme ‘Homes Under the Hammer’, as he is a massive fan! It was a really fun relaxed morning, we spent most of it laughing and messing about. Have a look at Chris’ blog post to see the behind the scenes photos and the actual shoot photos. Click here to read Chris’ blog post.

We had a tense and nervous wait to see what they thought about their film, but they loved it and all their friends and peers who have seen it say it perfectly sums them up! Check out their film now and see how they work.
